Super cooling

Super cooling cools the refrigerator
compartment as cold as possible for
approx. 6 hours. Then the temperature
set before super mode is automatically
restored.
Super cooling is recommended espe
cially:
S Before placing large quantities of
food in the refrigerator compartment.
S To cool drinks quickly.
Switch on super cooling
1. Press the select" button until a
triangle is indicated on the
refrigerator compartment display
panel.
2. Then press the super/quick ice"
button. SU" and super" are
indicated on the display panel.
Switching off super cooling
1. Reselect refrigerator compartment
area.
2. Then press the super/quick ice"
button. SU" and super" goes out
on the display panel.

Super freezing

Food should be frozen solid as quickly
as possible. Vitamins, nutritional va
lues, appearance and taste are therefo
re retained.
To prevent an undesirable temperature
rise when placing fresh food in the free
zer compartment, switch on fast freeze
several hours beforehand.
As a rule, 4-6 hours is adequate.
If max. freezing capacity is to be utili
sed, 24 hours are required.
Smaller quantities of food can be fro
zen without fast freeze.
Switching on super freezing
1. Press the select" button until an
arrow is indicated on the freezer
compartment display panel.
2. Then press the super" button.
SU" and super" are indicated on
the display panel.
Switching off super freezing
1. Reselect freezer compartment
area.
2. Then press the super/quick ice"
button. SU" and super" goes out
on the display panel.
Note
Super freezing automatically switches
off after approx. 2½ days.

Special functions

[timer]
You can use this function to set a time
cycle of 0-99 minutes and a signal re
minds you, e.g. if food is to be removed
from the compartment after a certain
time.
A value of 20 minutes has been preset
at the factory.
Attention!
Drinks bottles may crack if they are sto
red for longer than 20 minutes in the
freezer compartment.
Switching on the [timer]
1. Press the options" button until
[timer] is selected with a triangle.
2. Activate by pressing the +"
selection button (function is
framed).
3. Press the +" and -" selection
buttons to set the required time.
(Repeatedly press the button to
change the time in one minute in
tervals. If the button is held down,
the time changes in 3 minute inter
vals.)
4. Press the options" button to start
the time cycle.
Ending a function [timer]
To stop the function, simultaneously
press the +" and -" selection buttons
for 3 seconds.
