6 Answering Machine

All the functions provided on the answering machine can be operated via the handset.
Some functions can also be controlled directly on the base station.
The answering machine is equipped with a vocal operator guidance. Observe
the instructions and information provided.
Setting the language
The language spoken by the answering machine's voice output is set to German and
not changeable.
Setting the date and time
The date and time of receipt is announced when each message is played back. Setting
the date and time via the handset . Page 52
Switching the answering machine on/off
The answering machine can be switched on and off either directly on the base station or
via the handset.

Maximum recording time
The answering machine can store up to 59 messages. The maximum recording time is
15 minutes. When there is no memory capacity available to record new messages, no
further messages are recorded.
Setting the maximum message length
The maximum length of a message can be set to 1 or 4 minutes.


If you have selected the Announce Only" setting, no message can be left after
the outgoing message. An A" appears in the base station display if this setting
is selected.
Setting the volume
The volume can be set to one of 6 levels.
