10. Operation

a) General Functions
Switching On/Off
• Push the button POWER/MODE (1) to switch on the device.
After first activation, the device will automatically perform a station scan in the DAB
reception range. During the search, the display (4) shows progress and the number of
stations found.
After completion of the station scan, the first station in the station list is played back.
If no stations are found, no signal could be received. In this case, move the device
or align the aerial (11) differently, and perform the station scan again. Check if DAB
stations are broadcast in your area.
When switching on again, the device will start up with the last chosen operating mode.
• Keep the button POWER/MODE (1) pushed in order to switch off the device again (standby
mode).
In standby mode, the display (4) shows the time and date.
• In order to save energy and to switch off the device entirely, keep the button
POWER/MODE (1) pushed again.
Selection of the operating mode
• Push the button POWER/MODE (1) briefly with the device switched on to switch between
DAB and FM mode.
Setting the volume
• Turn the dial switch (6) to set the volume.
Turning clockwise > Volume is increased
Turning counter-clockwise > Volume is reduced
