pH Controller 7070/2 used as a measuring
instrument
Use the BNC connector on the housing of the Controller
7070/2 to connect the pH electrode (1).
Place a 9 V battery in the battery compartment (on the
rear) (2).
Carefully remove the front cap of the pH electrode.
Caution ! Fragile ! See illustration (3).
Immerse half of the pH electrode in the water (4) or use
the enclosed electrode holder to fasten it to the side of
the tank; immerse at a distance of 10 to 30 cm (3.9 to
11.8 in.) from the pump output, protected from light, if and
when possible.
Switch the measuring instrument on by pressing the „ON"
button. After about two minutes, the „Auto Power Off
Function" switches the system off automatically in order
to save the battery.
The electrode should remain moist to prevent damage.
For this reason, put the electrode cap supplied back
on again after the measurement. The cap should be
moisturised with water beforehand. The addition of some
millilitres of 3 molar KCl solution, article No. 7040.400,
would be ideal.
Carry out the electric calibration of the electrode; for this
purpose, please refer to the chapter titled „Calibration of
the pH electrode".
If the battery is too old or too weak, the measured values
reads „Lo batt".
Permanent operation is possible by means of connecting
socket (5) using Switched Socket Outlet 7075.12 or Valve
Set 7074.11.
Contrôleur pH 7070/2 en mesure seule
Raccordez l'électrode pH au contrôleur 7070/2 par
la prise BNC (1).
Insérez la batterie 9V dans le logement en partie
arrière (2).
Retirez avec précaution le capuchon de protection
au bout de la sonde pH. Attention sonde fragile ! Voir
illustration (3).
Immergez l'électrode dans l'eau jusqu'à moitié ou
fixez l'électrode sur son support (4). Elle doit être
protégée de la lumière et distante de toute sortie de
pompe d'au moins 10 à 30 cm.
Enclenchez l'appareil par une impulsion sur la touche
„ ON ". Après 2 min, son arrêt est automatique afin
d'économiser la batterie (fonction Auto Power Off).
Afin d'éviter sa destruction, l'électrode doit toujours
rester humide. Pour cela et après une mesure,
replacez le capuchon de protection contenant un
peu d'eau distillée.
Ètalonnez électriquement votre électrode (voir
Etalonnage de l'électrode pH).
Si la batterie faiblit, l'indicateur numérique affiche
„ Lo batt ".
Le fonctionnement permanent du contrôleur est
possible par le branchement en (5) de la prise
commandée 7075.12 ou du Set électrovanne
TUNZE® 7074.11.
