Connect the electrode to the measuring instrument.
Open the vent plugs on the electrode (for
pressure compensation).
Remove the immersion cap from the electrode.
Rinse the electrode in water and dry off (see also
pH electrodes instruction manual).
Place the electrode (and the external temp.
probe) in the measuring solution.
Switch on instrument.
The display indicates the pH value (at first
unstable) and temperature.
Should no external probe be connected and
should an electrode without temperature sensor
be used, the temperature must be corrected
manually with the arrow keys. First activate the
SELECT key, "MAN" flashes in the display, then
correct the value with the arrow keys (
5 seconds, the instrument then accepts this tem-
perature value.
The value displayed is correct when it has
stabilised.
Press the page key to enter the following menu
points:
- Auto-Hold, see chapter on hold function.
- Redox measurement, for measuring redox
voltage in conjunction with the type 06 mV
redox electrode.
The electrode voltage is displayed when a pH
electrode is connected.
- Temperature measurement, the instrument
becomes a fully-competent temperature
measuring instrument when a NTC probe is
connected.
- Calibration menu, see 1 / 2 point calibration.
Press the page key to return to the measuring menu.
