2.5 Installation location
The instantaneous water heater
!
should be installed in an enclosed
frost-free area, if possible close to the dra-
wing-off point (when dismantled, the unit is
to be stored in a place not subject to frost,
because there will always be some residual
water left inside). The unit is to be installed
vertically, as in Example
for surface
mounting, or
-for concealed mounting.
2.6 Installing the unit
Preparation
1
Remove the unit cover.
2
Position the unit, determine where the
securing hole is to be and drill it, then in-
sert the securing screw (ensure insertion
depth is sufficient).
3
Cut the electrical connection to length and
strip off the insulation..
In cases of surface-fitted electrical connec-
tions, the rear wall must be pierced at the
appropriate place.
Cold water pipes must be thorough-
!
ly flushed through. Water connec-
tions must be provided with conventional
commercial pressure fittings.
Pierce holes for water connections:
Concealed connection
Surface connection
Install water connection:
Concealed connection:
Screw the connection nipple into the
water installation (ensure position and
installation depth are correct).
Surface connection:
Screw the connection nipple with the flat
seal to the pipe bend in the unit.
Feed the electrical connection cable through
the rear wall and the cable aperture, guide the
unit onto the securing screw and over the con-
nection nipple, and slide it downwards.
Fit the water connection components with the
seal:
Concealed fitting
Surface fitting
Level and tighten the unit (14).

Fault
Differential pressure switch does
not switch the heating on despite
the hot water
valve being fully opened.
Unit does not supply any hot
water despite the sound
being audible of the
differential pressure switch tur-
ning on.
Overheating light displayed.

8.8 kW
19 Terminal bridge for basic power rating
6.6 kW
20 Terminal bridge for basic power rating
4.4 kW
The cable bushing must be used
!
to provide protection against the
penetration of water.
Connect the fixed lead for the electrical con-
nection in accordance with the circuit diagram.
Mark the connected load according to the
electrical connection with a cross on the unit
rating plate and in Table 1 with the aid of a
ballpoint pen.
Conclude installation:
8
Fit the unit cover on and secure it with
screws.
2.8 First start-up
(only to be carried out by a qualified installer)
Before screwing the fuses in or
!
switching them on, all the hot
water valves connected are to be kept open
until the pipe network and the unit are free
of air. Check that the small instantaneous
water heater is functioning properly.
Adjusting the flow rate
9
If the desired temperature is not being
reached, the flow rate can be changed by
means of the adjustment screw (8).
Handing over the unit
Explain the function of the unit to the users,
and familiarise them with its use. Draw at-
tention to possible risks (scalding), and hand
over these instructions; these are to be kept in
a safe place.
Cause
The water flow rate of > 3.0 l/min. required for swit-
ching on is not being attained.
Dirt contamination or limescale formation in the flow
regulator in the fitting or the shower head.
Filter in the differential pressure switch clogged.
Flow rate too low.
The safety thermal cut-out has disconnected the unit
for safety reasons.
Heating system clogged with limescale (safety thermal
cut-out actuated by the heat build-up).
Heating system is defective.
Flow rate too low.
Inlet temperature too high.
2.9 Servicing instructions
When carrying out any work, dis-
!
connect the unit from the mains.
– Clean the filter (15)
Release the earthing screw
connection pipe in the differential pressure
switch
downwards
semble in the reverse order.
Make absolutely sure the earthing screw is
tightened up again!
– Activate the safety thermal cut-out:
The actuated safety thermal cut-out can be
reactivated after a fault has been rectified by
means of the reset push button (16).
2.10 Trouble-shooting
See Table 3.
3. Guarantee
For guarantees please refer to the respecti-
ve terms and conditions of supply for your
country.
The installation, electrical connec-
!
tion and first operation of this ap-
pliance should be carried out by a qualified
installer.
The company does not accept liability
for failure of any goods supplied which
have not been installed and operated in
accordance with the manufacturer's
instructions.
4. Environment and
Recycling
Recycling of obselete appliances
Appliances with this label must not be
disposed off with the general waste.
They must be collected separately and
disposed off according to local regulations.
Rectification
Cleaning or descaling the flow regulator in the fitting or the shower head.
Clean the filter (15) after closing off the cold water line.
9
Correct the flow rate setting
.
Rectify the cause of the problem, then press the reset button on the safety
thermal cut-out (16) (with the unit disconnected from the mains).
Replace the heating system.
Replace the heating system.
9
Correct flow rate adjustment
.
Limit cold water intake to 25 °C.
, rotate the
through 90°, and remove it
