Regarding the suitability for installation and use of Novell openSUSE Linux distribution 10.2
on the Siemens SIMATIC Box PC 627B.
We state herewith that our product Siemens SIMATIC Box PC 627B as specified in this
document was successfully tested in respect of the suitability for installation and use of the
specifically selected version of Linux Novell openSUSE Linux distribution 10.2 (kernel
version 2.6.18.2-34-default x86_64) in accordance with a particular test strategy as specified
in this document. This does not make any statements on the suitability of any other or further
software versions, updates, upgrades or releases of Novell SUSE Linux. Neither is the
tested software a product of Siemens nor is it distributed, recommended or supported by
Siemens. Therefore, Siemens is not responsible for the use of any distributions of Linux on
the Siemens SIMATIC Box PC 627B.
This manufacturer's declaration shall not be deemed to be a warranty or guarantee
particularly with regard to a guarantee as per Section 443 German Civil Code
("Beschaffenheitsgarantie" as per Section 443 BGB) and does not constitute any rights that
might result from any Linux hardware certification programs of Novell or any third persons
(e.g. support).
