c) Fine Settings

The following settings can be used to adjust the metal detector even more finely and thus increase your search results.
• The setting controller "Sensitivity" adjusts the metal detector to different search depths and thus improves the search result.
The further you put this setting controller to the left, the lower the search depth and the lower the possible interferences (e.g.
from metal splinters, earth cables, etc.). The further you put this setting controller to the right, the higher the search depth
and the higher the possible interferences (e.g. from metal splinters, earth cables, etc.). Set the controller according to your
individual search needs.
• The setting controller "Ground" (4) adjusts the metal detector to different soil situations. Switch the Mode switch to the posi-
tion "VLF" for fine tuning. Hold the search probe 1 – 5 centimetres off of the ground and observe the display unit.
• If the hand deflects to the right towards "Non Ferrous", there is little iron in the ground. Set the controller "Ground" towards
"Normal". If the hand deflects to the left towards "Ferrous", the ground contains iron. Set the controller "Ground" towards
"Basalt".
• Lift the search probe at least 25 cm off of the ground or iron-containing objects and push the red button in the handle. Repeat
the settings made before until the pointer stays near the zero position.
After you have made the settings to adjust to the ground situation, you must not push the red button in the handle any
more until you have finished your search. Otherwise, pushing of the button will reset the settings you have made.
• The setting controller "Discrimination" sets the differentiation threshold between different metals. In the basic setting, the set-
ting controller is at the centre. The setting of this setting controller is performed in search operation in mode "TR2". The more
you turn the controller to the right in search operation, the less smaller objects such as silver paper, aluminium parts, coins or
rings will be detected.
When changing the search field, the setting controller "Discrimination" must be set again based on the middle position
of the controller.

13. Maintenance and care

The metal detector requires no maintenance. In case of malfunction, first replace the batteries. If the fault is still present, con-
tact the relevant service.
The product must only be cleaned with a damp cloth. If you have performed a search in water, dry off the product with a dry
cloth.
