5.3 Multichannel operation

For multichannel operation with several receivers, the antenna distributor UA-1000 can be used. The
distributor replaces the antennas and powr units of up to four receivers. Refer to the user manual of the
antenna distributor on how to connect the devices.

6. OPERATION

1. Switch on the receiver with the power switch. The display indicates the preset reception frequency.
As long as the receiver does not receive a radio signal from the transmitter, it is muted and the display
indicates MUTE.
2. Switch on the transmitter. Adjust transmitter and receiver to the same frequency ( section 6.1).
The muting is deactivated and the insertion MUTE disappears from the display. One of the indications

A or B lights to indicate which receiving part respectively receives the more powerful radio signal.
The bargraph indication RF shows the reception quality. The more segments are displayed, the better is
the reception.
For optimum receiving:
• maintain a line-of-sight between the transmitter and receiver antennas.
• make sure the distance between the microphones and the receiver is not too long.
• make sure the reception is not disturbed by objects in the transmission path; avoid placing the
microphones and the receiver where metal or other dense materials may be present and computers or
other HF-generating equipment (min. 50 cm distance).
3. Switch on the following audio unit or advance the corresponding fader on the mixer.
Speak into the microphone. The volume of the audio signal received is shown on the display by the
volume indication AF. The more segments are displayed, the higher is the volume level. If the receiver is
overloaded by a volume on the microphone which is too high PEAK lights up. Adjust the optimum
volume on the transmitter by means of the indications AF and PEAK.
4. Match the output level of the receiver to the input of the following unit with the level control.
5. After operation keep the power switch pressed for 2 seconds to switch off the receiver. The display
shortly indicates

6.1 Adjusting the receiving frequency

The reception frequency can either be adjusted manually or via the automatic frequency setting.
Manual frequency adjustment
1. Keep the button O pressed for 2 seconds. The manual setting mode is called. The display shortly
indicates

Automatic frequency scanning
1. Switch on the transmitter and adjust it to the desired transmission frequency.

the previous indication. The insertion SCAN keeps flashing.
3. Start the frequency scanning with one of the buttons
ascending or descending order respectively. When the frequency adjusted on the transmitter is found,
the scanning will stop.
4. Press the button O to store the frequency. The display shortly indicates
to normal operation.
