5. SETTING INTO OPERATION

5.1 Placing the receiver or installing it in a rack

Install the receiver on a plane surface or in your 19" (483 mm) rack by means of the optional mounting
frame. The mounting frame requires 1 unit and is able to accept two receivers or one receiver and the
optional mounting set for mounting the antennas at the front. When mounting the unit into the rack, please
make sure that there is enough space around it so that the heated air can be passed on. Steady overheating
will damage your device.

5.2 Making the connections

1. Insert the two supplied antennas into the BNC jacks ANT.1 and ANT.2 and put them in a vertical
position.
2. Connect the receiver to the subsequent unit (e.g. mixer, amplifier):
• Use the balanced XLR output for connection to balanced microphone input.
• Use the unbalanced 6.3 mm jack output for connection to a line inputs with the supplied connection
cable.
If the subsequent unit is provided with both connections, the XLR output should be used for an optimum
signal transmission.
3. Connect the power supply unit to the power input and the mains plug to a mains socket. Use the receiver
only with the supplied power unit. Always disconnect the mains connector when you wish to change
connections, move the unit to a different place or if it is not used for a longer period.
