9.9 Switching output or analog output performance in the event of a mal-
function
If an error is detected, the switching output is turned off or turned on, depending on the configuration,
and the red LED display on the device is turned on (also see chapter 9 "Startup", page 29).
The switching output has error detection regarding excess temperature, excess current and short circuit.
If this error condition is detected, the hardware switches the switching output to high impedance and the
red LED display on the device is also turned on. The switching status of the device function is not
changed in this case; this means the output switches to the currently valid state as soon as the error no
longer exists.
If an error is detected, the analog output is set (0 mA, 3.4 mA or 22 mA), depending on the configuration,
and the red LED display on the device is turned on.
