Functions:

Allows the user to listen to traffic reports abroad in his/her own language as supported by
the Viking TMC 148

Germany: entire motorway network
•
Denmark: entire motorway network

Netherlands: entire motorway network
•
Italy: entire motorway network
•
France: entire motorway network
Note
In terms of infrastructure, northern Italy is currently covered by RAI and in France the
motorways between Paris, Dijon, Lyon, Marseille on the same frequency of 107.7 MHz.
Operation
Training the TMC DriveCard
It is first necessary to train the TMC DriveCard:
•
Insert the first KeyCard and switch the unit on.
•
Press DSC and press (up/down) to select "LEARN KC".
•
Press >>. "CHANGE" will appear in the display.
•
Remove the first KeyCard and insert the TMC DriveCard.
•
When the display reads "READY", press DSC again.
Your car radio is now ready to receive traffic radio information with TMC (Traffic Message
Channel).
Selecting the region and road
Please note that the motorways and regions you have selected continue to apply in the next
country after you cross the border. Please make sure to select the region and motorway for
which you want to receive traffic information after you cross the border. Refer to the Viking
TMC 148 operating instructions for more detailed information. The maps included in these
operating instructions will assist you in making the right selections.
It is only possible to receive those messages which apply to the reception area. If it is not
possible to select the country concerned, "Selection not possible, TMC deactivated" will
appear in the display.
It is advisable to generally select Region 1 when crossing the border. This covers the traffic
information for the entire country.
