When operated with a conventional transformer, the
locomotive performs like a locomotive without a
decoder. However, the locomotive will begin to move
only after a control voltage of 5 to 5.5 Volts (DC) has
been reached, because the decoder requires a certain
minimum voltage simply to operate. Sound functio-
nality is possible during analogue operation and
begins at approx. 4.5V (DC).
– In DC operation trouble-free running with pulse-
