4.5. Cooling unit

If the cooling unit is plugged to SAXX, it will be automatically started at the start of the welding. It will be
stopped after 5 minutes if no other welding has been launched and if it has not been started manually.
When using an air cooling machine, you have to unplug cooling unit from SAXX so it will not be started.
For some machines (all closed head except head for microfittings), cooling unit is mandatory: if it is not
plugged, there will be an alarm 5A at the start of the welding. See §4.7 for manual start/stop of cooling
unit.

4.6. How to use competitor heads

SAXX is able to control AXXAIR competitor heads: AMI, Polysoude, Orbitalum, Esab, Orbitec,....
When choosing the machine, you can see the list of machine compatibles. If you want to control a
machine which is not in the list, please contact AXXAIR.
Some machines can be directly used as AXXAIR
machines but somes machines require a calibration.
At the first use of competitor machine, go to menu
"Welding" and "MANU". If there is not a button
« Start calibration », the machine can be used
directly. If there is a button "start calibration" check
that the machine can rotate freely and press « start".
When the button "stop" disseapears, the calibration
is completed and the head can be used normally.
Calibration is saved and it is not necessary to do it at
each use. However, it can be necessary to do it
again, for example when using machine with
adjustable resistance, if the setting of the resistance
has been modified or if another machine of same
reference but with different setting of resistance is
used. Also in case of software updating, it can be necessary to do it again.
