3. Installation

Receipt :

Power source is delivered into a cardboard box with foam protections. This original packaging must be
stored and used for each transport to avoid damages.
If the power source is not going to be used for a long period of time, store it in its original packaging.

Handling :

The SAXX-200 (with or without cooling unit SCOOL-700) can be lift with the carrying handle. Do not pull
on the cables and hoses. In case of use of a trolley, be careful of the stability.
Working area
• Maximum floor inclination of 10°.
• Ensure the work area has sufficient ventillation for welding, and that there is easy access to the control
panel.
• The machine must be placed in a sheltered area away from rain.
• The machine must not be used in an area with metal dusts.
Connections:
Refer to pages 3 and 4 to know position and function of each connector.
Electrical connection:
For user safety, it is mandatory to connect protective conductor (earth).
Refer to identification plate (at the rear of power source) to know
maximum needed current in function of main voltage. Refer also to
features on §2.
Gas connection:
Refer to features on §2.
USB port:
- Do not use USB port to charge a device.
- Use only one USB key (32 Go max) on one USB port of the
front panel
- On the supplied USB key, there is a file with current source
calibration parameters. This file will be used only if the
memory is reseted: software update or empty battery. This is
why it is strongly recommended to use only this USB key
and to keep it plugged onto the power source. It is also
recommended to create a backup of this USB key on a computer.
