These operating instructions and the
enclosed safety instructions should be
kept carefully for later use and enclosed
with the power tool, should it be passed
on or sold.
Intended use.
This machine tool is intended for:
use in a weather-protected environment
and for commercial use in industry and
trade,
for drilling materials with a magnetizable
surface with core drills and full drills, and
for tapping,
for applications using the accessories given
in these operating instructions, or those
recommended by FEIN.
The power tool can be applied in a hori-
zontal, vertical and overhead position.

Safety instructions.

Danger of accidents
The drill motor must not be able to
descend on its own accord while the tool
is inserted; if necessary, the hexagon nut
must be adjusted (970).
Before adjusting, pull the plug
from the socket and remove the
cap (980).

Risk of injury
For drilling in walls and ceilings the mag-
netic drill must be secured using the safety
strap supplied with it. The magnetic
adhesion is not activated during a
current interruption (power cut,
pulling the plug out).
The drilled core is automatically ejected
by the centering pin. Danger of acci-
dents! Improper use can cause the
centering pin to break.

The tool may only be operated if the
shock-proof sockets fulfil the regulations;
detaching the earthing contact connec-
tions is not permissible.
When treating metal, conductive dust can
accumulate inside the machine. In such
cases, blow out the motor space fre-
quently from outside using dry com-
pressed air and operate the power tool via
a fault-current circuit breaker (actuating
current 30 mA).
Never allow your fingers to enter the
rotating parts.
Do not rivet or screw any name-plates or
signs onto the power tool. The protective
insulation can thereby be rendered inef-
fective. Adhesive labels are recom-
mended.
Only use an undamaged plug and cable.
Only use undamaged connecting cables
and, if necessary, shock-proof extension
cable and at regular intervals check that
they are not damaged.

Damage to property/material
The mains voltage must correspond with
the voltage specifications on the power
tool.

Personal protective equipment.

When using this power tool wear the fol-
lowing protective items:
Protective glasses, sturdy shoes, ear pro-
tection, hairnet (for long hair), and also an
apron and helmet, if necessary.
