3. Inclined plane (img 15)
All actors of one plane are approached simultaneously and thus create an inclined plane. After a previously set time
allowance the inclined plane shifts to the other side. With this stimulation pattern the right and left body halves are
perceived separately and especially the patient's vestibular sense is promoted additionally.
4. Static (img. 16)
This function does not perform any movement pattern. In the interval all actors are evenly lifted.
The throughput speeds can be adjusted, as well:
Fast: 26 sec. Medium: 78 sec. Slow: 120 sec.

Additional valves

As standard ThevoActiv is equipped with 16 valves, carrying out the selected movement pattern. This provides a good
stimulation of the entire body surface. However, certain patients may require a more sensible, fine adjusted stimulation
to support body perception and mobility. Here you can use a ThevoActiv system with 24 valves. Please contact us for
further information.

Disinfection methods and cleaning recommendations

Mattress
The covers can easily be taken off due to a sewed on two-sided zipper. The mattresses are autoclavable and therefore
suitable for reuse.
Jersey cover
• washable up to 65 °C (149 °F) • suitable for tumble dryers • breathable
Incontinence cover
• washable up to 65 °C (149 °F) • suitable for tumble dryers • to be cleaned by wiping disinfection
Under frame
Easy cleaning: the system can be cleaned with non-corrosive detergent. Please ensure the system to be dried carefully
after every cleaning. The system can also be cleaned with disinfectant on alcohol basis.
Disinfection
For the disinfection we recommend two methods accepted by the Robert-Koch-Institute:
- the fractionated vacuum method (VDV-method) up to a max. temperature of 110 °C (230 °F).
- the steam flow method up to a temperature of 110 °C (230 °F).
Caution: The control unit must not undergo a steam sterilisation! It can be wiped with a damp cloth, but should in
no case be exposed to an open jet of water.
Hint: A thermal treatment over 110° C (230 °F) causes premature ageing of the plastic parts and should therefore be
avoided. Please make sure when, using chemical disinfectants, that they are suitable for plastic.

Maintenance

In order to ensure a long life cycle and utilisability of the mobility bed ThevoActiv, you should follow below stated
maintenance instructions:
• Should the red LED „Wrench Symbol" glow permanently, please call a service technician. Nevertheless the system
can be used without any loss of functioning.
• We recommend an annual inspection carried out by qualified personnel.
• The tight fit and impermeability of the actors shall be checked regulary. Leakages, leading to punctual losses of
function are recognised by a loud fizzling. In such cases, tightly press the valve unit in direction of the bellows, whilst
supporting the bellow from the exterior with your thumb.
