LED/LCD Messages

LED messages
Top panel LED
Indicates the "lock" status of the signal
LOCK (left)
input at Digital In.
Indicates the "lock" status of the mLAN
LOCK (right)
signal.
Reports interruption of the sound
due to connection or removal of the
DATA
device on the bus, changes to the con-
nection, out of word clock sync, etc.
RT/ERR Indicates root and error.
While the mLAN8P (scanning the connected devices, four LEDs flash in green.
Rear panel LED
Indicates if sound from sources other
mLAN1–3 than the device being disconnected is
interrupted.
RT/ERR Indicates root and error.
ACTIVE Indicates the status of the relay function. Blue ... The relay function is enabled.

The number of hops exceeds 16. Check the number of hops.
Limit
The power to the bus is insuffi-

MIDI: Rx Data transmission exceeds the
Buffer Full MIDI transfer rate.
The sound is interrupted for
some reason, or the devices are
not syncing.

Green ... Lock, Off ... Unlock

Red ... Sound is interrupted.
Red/orange ... An error has occurred.
Green ... The mLAN8P is a "root."

Cause
Check to see if any part of the
connection creates a loop.
Remove the malfunction-
ing device.
Remove the malfunction-

the bus, or remove a power
consumer from the bus.
Check the MIDI transfer
rate setting.
Check to see if the transmit-
ting device is operating
properly.
Check the word clock set-
ting on the mLAN8P and
