• This device is designed for toasting sandwiches and should not be used for the preparation of
food in another form�

BEFORE FIRST USE

• Remove all packaging materials and check the device and accessories for damage�
• Clean the device as described in the Cleaning and Maintenance section� Heed all Safety
Information while doing so�
• Heat up the device two to three times without food in order to remove production residues (see
Operation)� Leave the device on for a maximum of 5 to 10 minutes per heating cycle� Burning
of production residues can cause smoke and produce an odour� This is a normal process, but
