• Turn on the garden pump (switch position I). The garden pump starts running.
If the suction hose and garden pump were filled with water as described above, the garden pump should
deliver water at the outlet side after a few seconds.
Open the connected nozzle, sprinkler, watering rod, or rain gun in order for any air to escape and for
water to be pumped.
• Pumping water coincidently cools down the garden pump. Nevertheless, the garden pump is not suitable
for continuous use. We recommend switching off the garden pump after a maximum of 60 minutes of use
and letting it cool down completely before using it again.
If there is any air left in the garden pump or hose, the product cannot pump water. If no water is
pumped after one minute, turn off the garden pump.
Attach a return stop to the end of the suction hose (e.g. the one located in a well). That facilitates
the suction process, especially at great suction heights.
Fill the suction hose and garden pump with clear water and then restart pumping.
• In order to switch off the garden pump, set the on/off switch to O position.

9. Decommissioning

In order to disconnect the garden pump from the hose (e.g. for cleaning, maintenance or storage during
winter), proceed as followed:
• Switch off the garden pump. Then disconnect the mains plug from the wall socket.
• Disconnect the hoses connected to the garden pump.
• In order to release the water from the garden pump, first unscrew the sealing plug of the opening for
emptying. Keep the garden pump inclined until there is no more water running off.
• Dry the garden pump and mains cable. Then wind up the mains cable.
• Store the garden pump in a frost-free and dry room.
Additionally, empty the hoses in the outdoor area in order to avoid frost damage. Open any
connected water taps.
• Only carry or transport the garden pump at its handle. Never pull the mains cable or hose to move the
garden pump.
• After operating or emptying the pump, there might be a little amount of residual water remaining in the
garden pump. For that reason, use a suitable padding for protection against water spots or other damage
when storing the garden pump or transporting it in a vehicle.
