Clamping/Unclamping

• The tool shank must be burr-free and free of dirt.
• Always insert the tool down to the minimum clamping depth into the toolholder.
• At more than 25 °C the Expansion Toolholder should not be clamped without a tool.
At the clamping procedure the clamping screw must be turned in manually with an Allen
key to the limit stop.
Tightening torque: 10 – 12 Nm (Ø 16: 11 – 13 Nm).
The clamping screw is not secured against dropping out!
Never actuate the actuation screw with a power screwdriver!
The axial length adjustment is carried out with an Allen key via the length adjustment
screw. The adjustment range amounts to 10 mm.
Never actuate the length adjustment screw with clamped tools.
Always adjust the radial length adjustment via the radial length adjustment screw by
using the (supplied or accessory) SCHUNK socket wrench. The maximum tightening torque
for actuation screws shouldn't exceed 3 Nm.
