6 Releasing the depressed pins on the positioner removed

Please note!
The pins should only be depressed when the locator is installed on the crimping
tool.
If a pin has been inadvertently depressed on the removed locator, the pin can be released as
follows:

ATTENTION!
In order to prevent damage, never depress more than 1 pin!

7 Checking the tool

The tool is checked using a GO-NOGO gauge in accordance with M22520 and should be
carried out regularly, before starting work. These gauges are adapted to the tool and are
used to determine the permitted wear! Always insert gauges into the tool when it is closed!
Do not crimp the gauge! The gauges are not included in the scope of delivery of the pliers
and, thus, must be ordered separately.

1. Depressed pin.
2. Insert a 2.5 mm Allen key in the
centre of the locator.
3. Press in the 2.5 mm Allen screw.
4. Remove the Allen key.
