5.1 Operating modes (line 22)
The operating modes are described below.
On reaching a preset value, the counter continues to count to the
next preset value. Preset values are always processed in the sequen-
ce: preset value 1 and 2. Any values can be chosen. Automatic reset-
ting to the start count value can be obtained with the second preset
value. External or manual resetting can be carried out at any time.
On reaching the individual preset values, the counter is reset to the
start count value. Preset values are always processed in the sequen-
ce: preset value 1, preset value 2. Automatic resetting to the start
count value can be obtained with P2. External or manual resetting
can be carried out at any time.

dependently of each other. Pulse signals cannot be given in the par-
allel comparison mode.
Preset value P1 serves as a preliminary signal and functions as a
self-adjusting preset. The preliminary signal always switches to the
input value before the final signal is given. Any second preset value
can be chosen.
