3.6 Connection interfaces (option)
The serial port can run the following functions:
- Call data
- Program and call parameters
Port parameters are:
- the transfer speed (baud rate),
- the parity bit,
- Number of stop bits,
- the address with which the controller is addressed by a master.
These port parameters can be set on the programming level (lines
51, 52, 53 and 54).
The following standard interfaces can be connected to the counter:
- RS232, RS422, RS485
Interface characteristics
RS232 Full-duplex transmission with the following features:
- asymmetric
- 3 lines
- point-to-point connection - 1 emitter and 1 receiver
- distance of data transfer: max. 30 m
RS422 Full-duplex transmission with the following features:
- symmetric
- 4 lines
- point-to-point connection - emitter and receiver (max. 32 units)
- distance of data transfer: max. 1500 m
RS485 Half-duplex transmission with the following features:
- symmetric
- 2 lines
- multi-point connection - emitter and receiver (max. 32 units)
- distance of data transfer: max. 1500 m
