• The universal blade is not suitable for chopping ice cubes or deep-frozen food.
• For chopping ice cubes or deep-frozen food always use the jagged special blade.
• Before processing, cut large food into pieces. Remove stalks, pits and peels; remove bones,
tendons and cartilages from meat.
• Always place the universal chopper on the provided anti-slip mat.
• Hold base unit and glass bowl tight. Do not lift-off these parts from the working surface.

Filling the glass bowl

Attention hazard of injuries: Do not touch the blade! Handle cutting tools with
care to avoid injuries!
Only disassemble the appliance at stillstand!
• Switch off the appliance – pull mains plug!
• Do not accidentally press the ON button!
• Take off base unit and working cover (please see „How to disassemble your appliance").
• Choose your working tool corresponding to the food which should be processed and insert it.
• Fill glass bowl with food.
• Afterwards put working cover and the base unit on the bowl (please see „How to assemble
your appliance"). Ensure that the universal chopper has been assembled correctly
and according to the instruction.

Attention hazard of injuries: Make sure that the lid sits safely and only operate the
appliance when the cover is closed fi rmly!
• Before connecting the mains plug with the power socket, please ensure that the ON button is
not pressed accidentally!
• Switch the appliance on.
To start the appliance, please press the ON button and hold it for operation -
the appliance will stop as soon as the button is released. Depending on the
food you can choose between continuous operation (permanently pressed
ON button) and interval operation (pressing the ON button for 2 – 3 seconds,
pause for 2 – 3 seconds, repeat several times).
• Switch the appliance off.
For switching off, release the ON button.
After fi nishing the chopping procedure always pull the mains plug!

Emptying the glass bowl

Attention hazard of injuries: Do not touch the blade! Handle cutting tools with care to
avoid injuries!
Only disassemble the appliance at stillstand!
• Switch off the appliance – pull mains plug!
• Do not accidentally press the ON button!
• Take off base unit and working cover (please see „How to disassemble your appliance").
• Remove the blade or whisking disc.
For this, grasp the blade or whisking disc at the shaft and take it upwards out of the glass bowl.
• Pour the food out of the glass bowl.
