Please place the pump diagonally in the water so that the air on the bottom of the
pump can escape.
Useful tips:
Connection to an electrical outlet: The pump may only be connected to an electrical
outlet equipped with a fault current circuit breaker and an functional earthing. The pump
is put into operation by plugging the plug into the corresponding outlet.
Setting the start/stop position:
The start/stop position of the float switch can be set by adjusting the float switch in the
float switch catch.
Please check the following points prior to commissioning:
• The float switch must be installed in such a way that the switch-point height ON and
the switch-point height OFF can be reached easily and without exerting a lot of force.
Check this by placing the pump in a container filled with water and carefully lifting the
float switch manually and then lowering it again. This allows you to see whether the
pump turns on or off.
• Also ensure a sufficient distance between the float switch head and the float switch
catch. If this distance is too short, the pump will not operate properly.
• When adjusting the float switch, make sure that the float switch does not touch the
ground prior to turning the pump off. Attention! Risk of running dry.
Overload protection/thermal motor cut-off switch:
The immersion pump is equipped with a thermal motor cut-off switch. If the motor
overheats, the motor cut-off switch shuts the pump off automatically. The cooling-
down time is 25 minutes; after this time the pump turns on again automatically. If
the motor cut-off switch has triggered, you must find and remedy the cause (also see
"Troubleshooting"). The information stated here may not be understood as an instruction
manual for "domestic" repairs, because such repairs require specific expert skills. In case
of any defects, always contact customer service.
