The suction hose of the vacuum cleaner is being put
on the extraction duct of the SSF 1200. Depending
on the suction hose's dimensions you can use the
suction hose adaptor included in delivery.
The edge opening
The edge opening on the machine casing allows the
SSF 1200 to grind near proximity of edges using a
diamond grinding disc. For this purpose the extractor
hood has to be removed from the machine casing by
disassembly the 3 black adjusting screws.
Application examples: E. g. edges in pavements and
walls, door frames in the door and wall area.
Caution: The insert of the SSF 1200 for grinding near
edges has been exclusively designed
for the use with the diamond grinding
disc. Depth limitation is not possible
because of the extractor hood being
removed. Furthermore, the suction of

material being processed is strongly re-
duced. Wear safety glasses and work gloves!
As soon as working near edges is completed, imme-
diately install extractor hood. Never work without
extractor hood when star-shaped milling cutters are
installed.
Removal of the milling head
CAUTION: Turn the machine off and UNPLUG THE
MAINS PLUG before working on milling heads.
CAUTION: The milling head can become very hot du-
ring the working process. Before replacing, allow the
milling head to cool down

Replacing the star-shaped milling cutters
There are 2 different sets of star-shaped milling cut-
ters available:

Place the machine on a level and sturdy work-
space depositing it on its motor housing.
Prevent the milling head from turning by using
the counter key.
Use the T-wrench to loosen and remove the midd-
le clamping screw and washer.

Press the milling head away from the machine
by turning the extractor clockwise. Then remove
milling head.
Extractor
Pyramidal star-shaped milling cutters (scope of
delivery): For milling on hard surfaces. A rough
surface will be the result.
Angled star-shaped milling cutters (optional): For
milling on softer surfaces. A slightly rough sur-
face will be the result.
