Before operating the machine for the first time,
please read this instruction manual
Work area
Keep your work area clean and well lit.
Do not operate the SSF 1200 in explosive atmos-
pheres such as in the presence of flammable liquids,
gases or dust. Power tools create sparks, which may
ignite the dust or fumes.
Keep other persons away while operating a power
tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
Electrical Safety
In order to avoid electrical hazards you should never
modify the mains plug. Do not use any adapter plugs
with the machine.
Avoid body contact with grounded surfaces such as
pipes, radiators etc.
There is an increased risk of electric shock if your
body is grounded.
Do not expose the machine to rain or wet conditions.
Water entering the machine will increase the risk of
electric shock.
Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for car-
rying, pulling or unplugging the machine. Keep cord
away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts.
Replace damaged cords immediately. Damaged or
entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
When operating the machine outdoors, use an out-
door extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of
a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of
electric shock.
Personal Safety
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use com-
mon sense when operating the machine. Do not use
tool while tired or under the influence of drugs, al-
cohol, or medication. A moment of inattention while
operating the machine may result in serious personal
injury.
Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection.
Safety equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety
shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appro-
priate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
Avoid accidental starting. Ensure the switch is in the
off position before plugging in.
Carrying tools with your finger on the switch or plug-
ging in tools that have the switch on invites acci-
dents.
Before switching the machine on, remove tools or
wrench. A wrench or a key that is left attached to a
rotating part of the tool may result in personal inju-
ry.
Do not overreach. Keep a proper footing and balance
at all times. This enables better control of the power
tool in unexpected situations.
Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewel-
lery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from
moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair
can be caught in moving parts.
Ensure connection to dust exhaust.
Accurate handling and use of the machine
Do not force the SSF 1200. Use the machine for
its intended scope only. Do not use the machine in
case of damages. Disconnect the plug from the pow-
er source before making any adjustments, changing
accessories, or storing the machine. Such preventive
safety measures reduce the risk of starting the tool
accidentally.
Keep power tools out of the reach of children. Do
not allow to use this power tool to persons who are
not familiar with it or who haven't read these instruc-
tions. Power tools are dangerous in case of improper
handling by uninstructed persons.
Maintain power tools. Check all moving parts for free
movement and correct setting. In the event of parts
being damaged and in case there are disturbances
of the correct operation let the machine be repaired
before using it. Many accidents are caused by poorly
maintained tools.
Keep grinding and milling tools clean.
Install star-shaped milling discs and grinding discs
according to the assembly instructions described in
this instruction manual. Do not alter the machine or
the accessories.
Service
Let the machine be repaired exclusively by an autho-
rized contracting partner of STORCH and using origi-
nal spare parts only. This will ensure that the safety
of the machine is maintained.
If the supply cord of this power tool is damaged it
must be replaced by the service organization menti-
oned above.
WARNING: Do not permit fingers to
touch the terminals of plug when ins-
talling or removing the plug from the
outlet to avoid injury or possible death
from electrical shock.
Caution!
WARNING: If the power supply is not properly groun-
ded, this tool can cause an electrical
shock, particularly when used in damp
locations, in proximity to plumbing, or
outdoors. An electric shock can also
cause secondary dangers, e.g. if the

operator is touching the milling/grin-
ding head casing.
