Behaviour of press device when batteries are almost discharged
If the battery charge diminishes, the press device requires significantly more time for the
pressing operations. The rechargeable battery should be replaced or recharged as soon as
possible.

Performing the pressing operation

Information!
The AFP 202 press device must only be operated with 14.4 V DC NiCd
rechargeable batteries or with 18 V DC lithium ion rechargeable
batteries.
CAUTION!
Fingers risk being crushed if the device is operated without a press jaw/
adaptor jaw. (Fig. 3)
If no press jaws/ adaptor jaws are fitted fingers could be placed in the at-risk zone.
Fingers could be crushed when the device is started.
Therefore
– Do not operate the device without the press jaws.
– Keep your fingers away from the at-risk zone.
Information!
The press device is not suitable for continuous operation. A short break
of at least 15 minutes must be taken after the device has been operated
for 30 minutes in order to allow it to cool down.
• Insert the press jaw/ adaptor jaw into the press device as shown in Fig. 5 to 7.
CAUTION!
Danger of crushing!
There is a risk of fingers and hands becoming crushed.
Therefore
– Keep all body parts and foreign objects away from the press jaws when initiating
the pressing operation.
– Do not hold the jaw levers with your hands during the pressing operation.
