Sufficient ventilation must be guaranteed when some other heating equipment is
working in the same space!
•
Do not touch the outside surfaces of the fireplace insert - there is the danger of
burning and life-threatening, except for the operating and regulation elements and they
must be operated by using the protective aids!
•
Never extinguish the fire in the fireplace insert with water!
•
The ashes from the ash-pan must be removed very carefully while using the protective
aids and only when fireplace insert is put out of operation!
•
Put the ashes into non-flammable bins with covers!
•
The fireplace inserts are not designed for a continuous operation
•
The appliance must not be used for waste combustion and the liquid fuels must not be
used!
•
In case of fire occurrence caused by the deposits in the chimney extinguish quickly the
fire in the fireplace insert by using the dry powder extinguisher or sand and remove all
combustible material from the vicinity of the fireplace insert and chimney body. Shut
the door, the controls of the fireplace insert and the smoke register (if it is installed)
and immediately report the fire to the fire brigade! ATTENTION – The fireplace insert
and flue-gas ways including the chimney must be revised by an expert before they can
be put in operation again!

No modifications except for installation and service works carried out by the authorized
person are allowed to be carried out on the product.
•
Only the spare parts approved by the manufacturer can be used for repairs.

The first firing

Before the first firing it is necessary to check whether the fireplace insert is positioned and
installed according to this manual chapter no.4. Then it must be checked whether the
fireplace insert is undamaged and entire. Please prepare the protective gloves, the
fireplace door pulling handle, a sufficient volume of fuel or the fire irons.
The first firing must be done before fireplace insert casing so that the paint burnt on
the fireplace insert surface is better ventilated. Please keep in mind that the fireplace paint
burning lasts at least for 4 hours therefore the room must be ventilated and supplied with a
sufficient volume of fresh air.
THE FIRING PROCEDURE:
1. Open the fireplace door and the flaps (or one flap) for the air supply
2. We recommend that the ash-pan protrudes approx. 2 cm towards you (this does not
apply to Prometheus type range 51, 53, 73).
3. Put a piece of dry paper on the iron grate (or the fire-fighter) and the wooden kindling
on it.
4. Make fire in the firing space.
