Vor dem Anschluss bzw. vor dem Verändern von An-
schlüssen den CD-Player und die anzuschließen-
den Geräte ausschalten.
1) Die Steuer- und die Laufwerkeinheit über das
beiliegende Mini-DIN-Anschlusskabel verbinden:
Das Kabelende mit der Entstördrossel (klei-
nes Kästchen) in die Buchse CONNECT TO
REMOTE CONTROL (27) der Laufwerkeinheit
stecken und das andere Ende in die Buchse
REMOTE CONTROL CONNECT TO MAIN UNIT
auf der Rückseite der Steuereinheit.
2) Sind an Ihrem Mischpult oder Verstärker Digital-
eingänge vorhanden, diese an die gelben Cinch-
Buchsen DIGITAL OUT (31) anschließen.
Bei Geräten ohne Digitaleingang die Stereo-
Ausgänge LINE OUT (32) – linker Kanal L und
rechter Kanal R – über Cinch-Kabel mit den CD-
Player-Eingängen am Mischpult oder am Verstär-
ker verbinden.
3) Die Laufwerke des CD-Players können über ein
Mischpult mit Faderstart-Funktion gestartet bzw.
auf Pause geschaltet werden. Zum Anschluss
der Steuerverbindung siehe Kap. 7.
4) Zuletzt den Netzstecker des Anschlusskabels
(29) in eine Steckdose (230 V~/50 Hz) stecken.

Bedienung

Im folgenden Text wird die Bedienung des Lauf-
werks 1 beschrieben. Die Bedienung des Lauf-
werks 2 ist vollkommen identisch.
5.1 CD abspielen
1) Den CD-Player mit dem Schalter POWER (26)
einschalten, die Betriebsanzeige (25) und die
LEDs (23) über den CD-Schubladen (22) leuch-
ten. Befindet sich eine CD im Laufwerk, erschei-
nen nach dem Einlesevorgang im Display ver-
schiedene Informationen zur CD (Kap. 5.2). Ist
keine CD eingeschoben, wird
angezeigt.
4 Setting up and Connecting the Unit
The control unit and the player mechanism unit are
designed for installation into a rack for units of
482 mm (19") width, however, they can also be used
as table top units. In any case, the player mecha-
nism unit must be operated in a horizontal position
while the control unit can be installed as desired,
e. g. also in an inclined position. For the rack instal-
lation two rack spaces each (1 rack space =
44.45 mm) are required for the control unit and the
player mechanism unit.
Prior to making or changing any connections, switch
off the CD player and the units to be connected.
1) Connect the control unit and the player mecha-
nism unit via the supplied mini DIN connection
cable:
Connect the cable end with the anti-inter-
ference choke (small box) to the jack CONNECT
TO REMOTE CONTROL (27) of the player
mechanism unit and the other end to the jack
REMOTE CONTROL CONNECT TO MAIN UNIT
on the rear side of the control unit.
2) In case of digital inputs existing on the mixer or
amplifier, connect them to the yellow phono jacks
DIGITAL OUT (31).
In case of units without digital input, connect
the stereo outputs LINE OUT (32) – left channel
L and right channel R – via cables with phono
connectors to the CD player inputs on the mixer
or amplifier.
3) The player mechanisms of the CD player can be
started or set to pause via a mixer with fader start
function. For making the control connection see
chapter 7.
4) Finally connect the mains plug of the connection
cable (29) to a mains socket (230 V~/50 Hz).

3) Zum Starten mit dem ersten Titel die Taste
(18) drücken. Solange die CD abgespielt wird,
zeigt das Display das Symbol

Soll mit einem anderen Titel gestartet werden,
diesen über die TRACK-Tasten (7) anwählen:
Mit jedem Betätigen der Taste +10 erfolgt ein
Sprung über 10 Titel vorwärts.
Durch Drücken der Taste
Titel weitergeschaltet. Beim Drücken der Taste
wird an den Anfang des gerade laufenden
Titels gesprungen. Durch mehrfaches Drü-
cken der Taste
zurückgesprungen. Zum Überspringen mehre-
rer Titel kann die Taste

4) Das Abspielen kann jederzeit mit der Taste
unterbrochen werden. Im Display erscheint das
Pausensymbol
CUE (17) blinken. Zum Weiterspielen der CD die
Taste erneut drücken.
5) Nach dem Einschalten steht das Gerät immer
auf Einzeltitelwiedergabe: Das Display zeigt
„AUTO CUE SINGLE" (d). Ist ein Titel zu Ende
gespielt, schaltet das Gerät am Anfang des nächs-
ten Titels auf Pause. Soll jedoch ein Titel nach
dem anderen kontinuierlich gespielt werden, mit
der Taste CONT./SINGLE (9) auf Gesamttitel-
wiedergabe schalten (siehe auch Kapitel 5.3).
6) Soll das Abspielen einer CD vorzeitig beendet
werden, den CD-Player auf Pause schalten oder
das Laufwerk stoppen [Taste TIME/STOP (10)
(keine CD)

5.1 Replaying a CD

5.2 Anzeige der Titelnummer, Laufzeit, Takt-
schläge pro Minute und des Ruhemodus
In der Grundeinstellung nach dem Einschalten gibt
das Display (Abb. 3) während der Wiedergabe einer
CD und bei eingeschalteter Pause die Titelnummer
(i) und die Restzeit (j) des gerade laufenden Titels
an. Zur Kennzeichnung der Restzeit signalisiert das
Display „REMAIN" (m). Die Zeit wird in Minuten (M)
und Sekunden (S) angezeigt, wobei die Sekunden
noch einmal in 75 sogenannte Frames (F) unterteilt
sind (1 Frame = 1 / Sekunde).

Durch mehrfaches kurzes Betätigen der Taste
TIME/STOP (10) können folgende Zeitinformatio-
nen angezeigt werden (wird die Taste länger ge-
drückt, schaltet das Laufwerk auf Stopp):
1. Tastendruck

5.2.1 Bargraph
Der Bargraph (g) stellt die Titel- bzw. CD-Restzeit
oder die bereits gespielte Zeit eines Titels durch
seine Länge graphisch dar, je nachdem welche Zeit-
information im Display mit der Taste TIME/STOP
(10) gewählt wurde. Die letzten 30 Sekunden eines

5.2 Display of the title number, playing time,
beats per minute, and sleep mode
In the basic setting after switching on, while replay-
ing a CD and with activated pause, the display
(fig. 3) shows the title number (i) and the remaining
time (j) of the title currently playing. To indicate the
remaining time, the display shows "REMAIN" (m).
The time is indicated in minutes (M) and seconds
(S), the seconds are again subdivided into 75 so-
called frames (F) [1 frame = 1 / second].

By repeated short actuation of the button TIME/
