3. Intended usage

The device is intended to be used for tracing and
measuring electrical and magnetic fields, taking
due consideration of the safety instructions and
operating instructions in this handbook.
Usage for a purpose other than that intended
or unauthorised modification will render the
guarantee void.

4. Preparation for use

Open the battery compartment on the lower rear
side of the device by sliding towards the outer
edge.
Connect a 9V battery to the battery clip in the
battery compartment, ensure that the polarity is
correct, and place the battery in the battery com-
partment.
Close the battery compartment by sliding in the
battery compartment lid to the stop. During this
process ensure that the guides and the catch on
the lid engage correctly in the corresponding cut-
outs on the housing.
Use only high-quality alkaline batteries as they are
leak-proof and have a long life.
