9. Installing of the optional CD Player
in FP-22 modular
Required tools:
Allen keys, across-flats (AF) widths 2 and 4 Wire cutters
Required components:
Fohhn CD player retrofit kit for FP-11/22, consisting of CD player
with remote control, M8 threaded plate and bolt adapter.
1. Start by removing the rod adapter from the loudspeaker housing.
To do this, loosen the four countersunk-head screws using the AF 4
Allen key and pull the adapter out of the housing.
2. Loosen the four screws on the black cover plate at the back of
the loudspeaker, then carefully lift up the plate.
On the inside of the plate you will find the cable harness for the CD
player, fastened with a cable tie. Cut through the cable tie using
the wire cutters, taking care not to damage the cabling itself. You
can then remove the plate.

3. Connect the cabling to the CD player.
You will need to carefully widen the opening in the black sponge
rubber covering in order to access the connection sockets.
Once connected, close the opening in the black sponge rubber
cover so that the connector itself is hidden and only the cabling is
visible.
4. Slide the CD player into the empty slot in the back of the
speaker.
Secure it with the four M3 hexagonal socket screws.
Tighten these screws firmly.
5. Fit the M8 threaded insert to the underside of the speaker
housing, in place of the rod adapter, and secure it using the four
M6 countersunk-head screws.
Tighten the M6 screws using 6-7 Nm of torque.
