Installation

Note the information in the "Preparations for Installation" chapter, and the installation illustrations
in these operating instructions.
1. Fasten the mounting bracket for the LED floodlight using at least two screws at a suitable location on
the wall. Depending on the installation location, suitable screws and, if necessary, screw anchors are
to be used.
The ideal installation height is between 2.5 and 3 m, depending where it is installed, and the ambient
conditions (position of the area to be lit).
When drilling mounting holes or screwing down, ensure that no existing electrical cable, gas or
water pipes are damaged!
2. Remove the cover of the installation box on the back of the LED floodlight, by unscrewing all four fixing
screws from the cover. (see Ill. 1).
3. Loosen the cap nut for the cable gland. (see Ill. 2).
4. Remove the handle of the strain relief by unscrewing the two screws (see Ill. 2).
5. Remove the insulation on the mains cable to the required length. The earth conductor should be slightly
longer than conductor (L) and conductor (N) (see Ill. 3).
6. Insert the power cable through the cable gland.
7. Connect the power cable with the terminal strip in the LED floodlight (see Ill. 4):
- brown wire = L
- blue wire = N
- Green-yellow wire = PE / protective earth conductor / earthing symbol
The protective earth conductor must be connected!
If the LED floodlight is replacing an existing light and no protective earth conductor is available,
the LED floodlight must not be installed. First, draw a new mains cable.
Where the protective earth is not connected, a fault with the mains voltage might result in the
metal housing of the LED floodlight becoming live. There is a risk of a life-threatening electric
shock!
Make sure only the minimum required length of the cable is stripped; otherwise it could cause
a short-circuit.
Also check the other screw connections on the terminal strip (for the connection cables to the
light electronics) and tighten them if necessary.
8. Fasten the mains cable to the strain relief. Attach the handle of the strain relief previously removed and
screw it firmly in place (see Ill. 4).
9. Screw the cable gland's cap nut tight so the rubber seal inside the cable gland is sealed (see Ill. 4).
10. Attach the cover previously removed and screw it firmly in place with four screws (see Ill. 5).
11. Adjust the LED floodlight angle so that it illuminates the desired area. For this, loosen both screws on the
sides of the bracket, set the angle and tighten the screws again.
12. Switch on the mains voltage again and make sure that the lamp is working.
If the LEDs in the LED floodlight do not light up, switch off the power immediately and please
have the connection of the lamps checked by a technician (e.g. electrician)!

Maintenance and Care

• The LED floodlight is maintenance-free, this is why you should never open or dismantle it (apart from the
connection / installation described in this operating manual).
• You should occasionally clean dust and dirt off the glass plate on the lamp to ensure proper functioning.
• Switch off the LED floodlight or disconnect it from the mains voltage before cleaning. Let it cool down
sufficiently.
• The exterior of the LED floodlight should only be wiped with a clean, soft, dry cloth. Where it becomes very
dirty, use a cloth which is slightly moistened with lukewarm water.
• Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions that could damage the housing (discolouring)
or impair operation.
• Do not press too hard on the housing or the glass plate, as scratches might appear.
Never spray water e.g. with a garden hose or a high-pressure cleaner, at the LED floodlight!
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste. At
the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
