Ensure that there are no solid ingredients (e.g. fruit,
hard chocolate, etc.) in the appliance. Immediately
switch off the appliance if you discover solid
ingredients in the appliance and remove them. The

Selecting and preparing the chocolate
1. Select a suitable chocolate: Any type of chocolate that does not contain any solid ingredients (e.g.

of cocoa butter, the better the flow characteristics; the flow characteristics deteriorate for chocolate
with a high proportion of cocoa (approx. ≥60%). Please also refer to the following table when

2. Heat the chocolate e.g. in the microwave or in a water bath on your hob. Add flavourless vegetable
oil to the chocolate if the selected chocolate is not fluid enough. Carefully stir in the oil.
Using the appliance for the first time and operation
1. Place the appliance on a level surface that has ideally been covered with a heat-resistant and easy
to clean underlay. This will protect your furniture against any chocolate that may drop onto it when
removing the coated food.
