2) Als potentialfreier Alarmausgang steht ein Relais
mit Umschaltkontakt zur Verfügung. An Pin 12
liegt der gemeinsame Kontakt (common), an Pin
25 liegt der Öffnungskontakt (NC), an Pin 13 der
Schließkontakt (NO). Das Relais erlaubt das
Schalten von ohmschen Lasten bei max. 12 V /
500 mA. Hier kann z. B. der Alarmeingang eines
Videorecorders angeschlossen werden, damit
dieser im Alarmfall von Langzeitaufnahme auf
Echtzeitaufnahme umschalten kann.

Stromversorgung
Nach dem Anschluss aller übrigen Geräte ist das
beiliegende Netzgerät an die POWER IN-Buchse
(24) anzuschließen und über sein Netzkabel mit
einer Netzsteckdose (230V~/50Hz) zu verbinden.

Bedienung
Nach dem Anschließen der Versorgungsspannung
leuchtet die Betriebsanzeige (1). Für ca. 2 s leuch-
ten alle Leuchtdioden über den Bedientasten auf
und ein Begrüßungstext wird auf dem Monitor 1 ein-
geblendet, wenn diese Option in den Geräteeinstel-
lungen aktiviert wurde. Anschließend zeigen beide
Monitoren die Ansicht, die zuletzt für sie gewählt
wurde.
5.1
Betriebsarten
5.1.1
Live-Überwachung
In der Betriebsart Live-Überwachung werden die Bil-
der der Kameras in unterschiedlichen Anzeigefor-
maten direkt auf dem Monitor 1 angezeigt.
Wenn über der Taste MONITOR (5) die LED M2
leuchtet, mit dieser Taste den Monitor 1 anwählen
(die LED für M1 leuchtet). Mit den Nummerntasten 1
bis 16 (2) oder den Tasten
(6),
ein Darstellungsformat wählen (siehe Kapitel 5.2:
„Anzeigeformate wählen").

floating alarm output. The common contact is at

at max. 12 V /500 mA, e. g. the alarm input of a

Power supply
After connecting all other units, connect the supplied
power supply unit to the POWER IN jack (24), then
connect it to a mains socket (230 V~/50 Hz) via its
mains cable.

Operation
After connecting the unit to the power supply, the
power LED (1) lights up. For approx. 2 s, all LEDs
above the control keys will light up and a welcome
text will be inserted on monitor 1, provided that this
option was activated in the settings of the unit. Then
both monitors will show the display last selected.
5.1
Operating modes
5.1.1
Live surveillance
In the live surveillance mode, monitor 1 directly dis-
plays the pictures of the cameras in different formats.
If the LED M2 lights up above the key MONITOR
(5), select monitor 1 with this key (the LED for M1
lights up). Select a display format with the numerical
keys 1 to 16 (2) or the keys
(6),
[see chapter 5.2: "Selecting display formats"].
Note: Operation of the unit in the live surveillance
mode does not affect video recording. The
signal at the connections VCR1 OUT (15) or
(23) and VCR2 OUT (21) is independent of
the selected display on the monitor.

Hinweis: Die Bedienung des Geräts in der Betriebs-
art Live-Überwachung hat keinen Einfluss
auf die Videoaufzeichnung. Das Signal an
den Anschlüssen VCR1 OUT (15) bzw.
(23) und VCR2 OUT (21) ist unabhängig

5.1.2
Videorecorder-Wiedergabe
Es lassen sich nur Aufzeichnungen wiedergeben,
die im Zeit-Multiplex-Verfahren über die Buchsen
VCR1 OUT oder VCR2 OUT durchgeführt wurden.
Der Versuch, nichtcodierte Videosignale über einen
der VCR-Eingänge wiederzugeben, kann zu Funk-
tionsstörungen führen.
Im Videorecorder-Wiedergabebetrieb werden die Bil-
der des Videorecorders an der Buchse VCR1 IN (14)
bzw. (22) oder VCR2 IN (13) auf dem Monitor 2 ge-
zeigt. Ob für VCR1 der BNC Anschluss (14) oder der
S-Video/S-VHS-Anschluss (22) als Eingang dient,
kann in den Geräteeinstellungen gewählt werden
(siehe Kapitel 7.6: Menüpunkt 5).
Für den Wechsel zwischen der Wiedergabe des
Videorecorders VCR1 und VCR2 die Taste VCR1/
VCR2 (9) drücken. Die Farbe der LED über der Tas-
te gibt an, ob VCR1 (LED leuchtet rot) oder VCR2
(LED leuchtet grün) gewählt wurde. Zusätzlich wird
nach Betätigung der Taste für ca. 5 s „PLAY BACK
VCR 1" bzw. „PLAY BACK VCR 2" blinkend auf bei-
den Monitoren eingeblendet.
Wie in der Betriebsart Live-Überwachung kann auch
bei der Videorecorder-Wiedergabe zwischen ver-
schiedenen Anzeigeformaten gewählt werden. Wenn
über der Taste MONITOR (5) die LED M1 leuchtet,
mit dieser Taste den Monitor 2 anwählen (die LED für
M2 leuchtet). Mit den Nummerntasten 1 bis 16 (2)
oder den Tasten

Ist im Einstellungsmenü auf der Menüseite
„VCR" die Option „COMPLEX" aktiviert (siehe Kap.

It is only possible to reproduce recordings per-
formed in time-multiplex technique via the jacks
VCR1 OUT or VCR2 OUT. The attempt to reproduce
uncoded video signals via one of the VCR inputs
may result in malfunctions.
In the video recorder reproduction mode, the pic-
tures of the video recorder at the jack VCR1 IN (14)
or (22) or VCR2 IN (13) are displayed on monitor 2.
Define in the unit settings (see chapter 7.6: menu
item 5) whether the BNC connection (14) or the
S-Video/S-VHS connection (22) serves as an input
for the VCR1.
For changing between the reproduction of the
video recorders VCR1 and VCR2, press the key
VCR1/ VCR2 (9). The colour of the LED above the
key indicates whether VCR1 (LED shows red) or
VCR2 (LED shows green) is selected. In addition,
upon actuation of the key, "PLAY BACK VCR1" or
"PLAY BACK VCR2" will flash on the screens of both
monitors for approx. 5 s.
Like in the live surveillance mode, different display
formats can also be selected for video recorder re-
production. If the LED M1 lights up above the key
MONITOR (5), select monitor 2 with this key (the
LED for M2 lights up). Select a display format with
the numerical keys 1 to 16 (2) or the keys
(7), or
(8) [see chapter 5.2: "Selecting display for-
mats"].
If the option "COMPLEX" is activated in the set-
ting menu on the menu page "VCR" (see chapter
7.6: menu item 5), a video recording can also be dis-
played on monitor 1. For this purpose, in all display

formats the picture of camera channel 16 will be re-
placed by the picture of the selected video recorder,
in the display format selected for monitor 2.
Note: Operation of the unit in this operating mode
does not affect video recording so that e. g.
the current camera signals can be recorded
on a video recorder via the jacks VCR1 OUT
and VCR2 OUT while older recordings are si-
multaneously reproduced by another video re-
corder via a video input VCR1 IN or VCR2 IN.

5.2
Anzeigeformate wählen
Die für Monitor 1 und Monitor 2 zuletzt gewählten
Anzeigeformate werden dauerhaft gespeichert, so-
dass nach Unterbrechung der Stromversorgung auf
jedem Monitor die zuletzt eingestellte Bildanord-
nung dargestellt wird.
5.2.1
Vollbild-Format
In diesem Format erscheint die gewählte Kamera
als Vollbild auf dem Monitor.
Die Nummerntaste (2) der gewünschten Kamera
drücken. Die LED über der Taste leuchtet. Ein wie-
derholtes Drücken der Taste führt zum „Einfrieren"
des Bildes als Standbild. Wenn in den Geräteein-
stellungen zugelassen, wird für die Dauer des
Standbildes „FREEZE" im Bild eingeblendet. Diese
Option lässt sich für die Betriebsarten Live-Überwa-
chung und Videorecorder-Wiedergabe getrennt ein-
stellen [siehe Kap. 7.8: Menüpunkt 7, Einstellung
„FREEZE MARK (LIVE)" bzw. „FREEZE MARK
(PLAY BACK)"].
In der Betriebsart Live-Überwachung startet
durch Drücken der Taste RUN (3) die automatische
Bildweiterschaltung (Sequenzschaltung). Entspre-
chend der momentan in der Sequenz gewählten Ka-
mera leuchtet die LED über der Nummerntaste (2).
Kameras, die kein Signal liefern oder momentan
nicht aktiviert sind (siehe Kap. 7.2: Menüpunkt 1:
„CAMERA", Einstellung:"LIVE CHANNEL"), werden

Selecting display formats
The last display formats selected for monitor 1 and
monitor 2 are permanently stored so that after power
failure the last picture arrangement is displayed on
each monitor.
5.2.1
Full screen format
In this format, the selected camera is displayed as
full screen picture on the monitor.
Press the numerical key (2) of the desired camera.
The LED above the key lights up. When pressing the
key once again, the picture is "frozen" as a still pic-
ture. If permitted in the unit settings, "FREEZE" is in-
serted in the picture for the duration of the still pic-
ture. This option can be individually adjusted for the
operating modes live surveillance and video record-
er reproduction [see chapter 7.8: menu item 7, ad-
justment "FREEZE MARK (LIVE)" or "FREEZE
MARK (PLAY BACK)"].
In the live surveillance mode, the automatic se-
quential switching of pictures starts by pressing the
key RUN (3). The LED above the numerical key (2)
lights up according to the camera currently selected
in the sequence. Cameras which do not provide a
signal or which are currently not activated (see chap-
ter 7.2: menu item 1: "CAMERA", adjustment: "LIVE
CHANNEL"), are skipped in the sequence. The dwell
time of the camera pictures depends on the "ROUND
TIME" selected in the unit settings (see chapter 7.2:
menu 1: "CAMERA"): Pressing a numerical key (2)
or another key for selecting a display format,
(7), or
(8), will stop the sequential switching.
5.2.2
Multiple picture 2 x 2
In the display format 2 x 2, four camera pictures each
of a quarter of the full screen format are shown. The
display format consists of four pages to be switched.
To select the display format 2 x 2, press the key
(6). The LED above the key lights up. With each fur-
ther actuation of the key, the display will change to
the following page with the next four camera pictures.
In the live surveillance mode, the automatic se-
quential switching of pages starts by actuation of the
