In extreme weather conditions (heavy wind), hold the wing tight when opening or closing the
-
gate so unguided moving of the wing can be excluded.
-
Avoid movement of a person:
o
Between the guiding post and the wing as this can cause serious injuries at arms and
legs.
o
Between the guiding rolls and the catcher as this can cause serious injuries at hands
and fingers.
o
Between the support rolls and ramp
o
Between the wing and the lock post
o
Between an object at the rear of the wing
This is to avoid that people are getting stuck between one of these mentioned elements
and to prevent serious injuries.
Do not climb the wing
-
Inform all the users of the gate of these warnings. Eventually display this information at a
-
suitable place.
-
To guarantee the efficiency of the installation and its correct functioning, it is indispensable to
observe the manufacturers indications.
-
IMPORTANT, if you have a double wing gate equipped with C721 drive units, all
cable connection must be done at the "Master controller". Details you will find on
the electrical drawings.
Attention: in every case the user is the last responsible for his gate. The user is responsible for:
-
The safety of his gate
-
Correct functioning of his gate
-
Yearly maintenance on his gate
Under the safety and correct functioning of the gate it is understood that the user checks on a
regularly basis (minimum once a year) if all safety devices and access control options are still
working properly as they should be.
Under the yearly maintenance it is understood that the maintenance that is described by the
manufacturer has to be followed. If a maintenance contract between the customer and Betafence is
existing, Betafence will take care for this maintenance. Otherwise the user is responsible for the
maintenance.
For the
German
market, the responsible person for maintenance also has to perform every year the
yearly measurements as they are prescribed in DIN EN 12453. If these measurements show t h a t
something is not correct, after communication to the user of the gate, immediate action has to be
taken under responsibility of the user.
For older gates that are not being built according to DIN EN 13241-1, the user is in any case
responsible for updating his gate to the newest regulations.
