Instructions for use and care
Instructions for non-sealed pans
Stainless steel pans are used for frying at high temperatures. They are especially suitable for unbreaded meat, such as steak, chicken
fillets, skewered food, untreated cutlets etc.
Wash and dry your pan thoroughly before using it for the first time. Then treat it with Fissler Stainless Steel Care, so that your pan
will retain its unique appearance longer.
When using it again:
1. Without adding fat, heat your pan at a medium setting (2/3 of the maximum setting).
2. Add a few drops of cold water to the pan. Once these form clear beads and start to 'dance around' in the pan, the temperature
is right for frying meat with or without fat. Wait for the water drop to evaporate before adding fat or placing the food in the pan.
3. Press the food down firmly in the pan. After a few minutes, it will detach itself from the bottom of the pan and can be turned.
4. Now turn down the heat and cook the food until it is done to your liking.
In order to avoid overheating, do not heat your pan at the highest setting when it contains no food or liquid. In the event of
overheating, the base may become discolored. However, this will not affect how well the pan works.
