13. Maintenance

Check the technical safety of the PA system regularly, e.g. check for damage to the power cable or to the housing.
If you have a reason to believe that the device can no longer be operated safely, disconnect it immediately and secure
it against being operated unintentionally. Pull the power plug out of the socket outlet !
It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
• there is visible damage to the device or to the power line,
• the device no longer works
• it has been stored for a long time under unfavourable conditions
• it was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport
You must observe the following safety instructions before cleaning or servicing the PA system:
Live components may be exposed if the covering is opened or components are removed.
Therefore, disconnect the device from all voltage sources before performing maintenance work
or repairs.
Capacitors inside the device may still carry voltage even though they have been disconnected
from all voltage sources.
Repairs may only be carried out by qualified personnel who are familiar with the hazards
involved and the relevant regulations.
If fuses have to be changed, make sure that they are replaced only with fuses of the same type and rated current (refer
to the "Technical data").
It is absolutely impermissible to repair fuses or to bridge the fuse holder.
• Only after disconnecting from the mains (unplug at the socket) should be low-power main connector be
unplugged from the mains connection (8) on the device. Lever out the fuse holder over the mains connection (8)
with the defective fuse.
• Remove the defective fuse and replace it with a fuse of the same type.
• Now carefully put the fuse holder with the new fuse back in.
• Afterward, reconnect the mains cable with the device and plug into a socket.
Cleaning
Clean the exterior of the PA system only with a soft, dry cloth or brush. You can clean off the carpet cover of the casing
with a vacuum cleaner.
Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions as these may damage the surfaces of the housing.
