7. Setup

When selecting the installation location for your device, avoid proximity to direct sunlight,
vibration, dust, hot and cold temperatures and dampness. Furthermore, no powerful transformers
or motors must be set up close to the device.
When setting it up with other equipment, make sure that the appliance is well ventilated. Keep
a sufficient distance to heat sources. Do not place the PA system directly next to heat sources,
e.g. radiators. Do not point any strong beams or light sources onto the device. This may lead
to overheating (risk of fire).
The heat extraction of the device may not be obstructed. Do not cover the ventilation apertures
of the device. The air circulation may not be obstructed by objects such as magazines, table
cloths, curtains or similar. This prevents heat extraction from the device and can lead to
overheating (risk of fire).
Do not drill any additional holes or screw any additional screws into the housing, since this
could make contact to dangerous voltages possible.
Make sure that the connection cables are not being pinched or damaged by sharp edges.
Always lay the cables so that nobody can trip over or become entangled in them. Risk of injury!
The cables must have a sufficient length. Avoid mechanical strain on the cables. This may
damage the cables or the device. Danger of fatal electric shock!
Do not place your complete PA set in the direct vicinity of screens such as television sets or
computer monitors. The magnetic fields generated by the loudspeakers may distort the image.
Only operate the PA system on a sturdy surface that is not sensitive to high temperatures.
When setting up the satellite loudspeakers, make sure that they have a stable footing and that
the set-up place is correspondingly stable. Serious injury to persons can be caused if the
loudspeakers fall down.
It is not permitted to suspend the loudspeakers from the carrying handles or any other fittings.
If the satellite speakers are put on tripods, these have to be robust and suitable for the weight
of the speakers.
Roll the PA set to the installation location.
Tip the subwoofer forwards so the sound opening is facing the audience.
Set up the satellite loudspeakers. They can also be equipped with loudspeaker pedestals. A speaker flange that
can hold a pedestal for a satellite loudspeaker is provided on the top of the subwoofer.
If possible, the subwoofer and satellite loudspeakers should be placed on the same level, facing the listeners.
This will prevent sound problems.
