5. COMMISSIONING

The guide only describes commissioning using a Situo io type Somfy io local control point. For
commissioning using any other io control point, refer to the corresponding guide.
- Never install the io Lighting Receiver near metal surfaces; they may reduce the radio range.
- Check the radio range before fitting the io Lighting Receiver. The radio range is limited by the radio
appliance control standards.
The use of a radio appliance (e.g. Hi-Fi radio headphones) operating on the same frequency
may cause interference and be detrimental to the product's performance.
- The building in which the product is used may reduce the radio range. The radio range of a Somfy
io local control point is:
X = 200 m in open space.
Y = 20 m through 2 concrete walls.

5.1. Identifying setting steps already completed

Only one receiver must be powered at a time.
Switch on the power and follow procedure "a" or "b", according to the light's reaction:
The light comes on then goes out.

No Somfy io control point has been programmed.
Go to the section "Programming the first Somfy io local
control point".
or
The light does not come on
b
Press the Up or Down button and follow procedure "c"
or "d", according to the light's reaction:
The light still does not come on
c
No Somfy io control point has been programmed.
Go to the section "Programming the first Somfy io
local control point".
or
d
The light comes on or goes out
The Somfy io control point has been programmed.
Go to the section "Operation".
5.2. Programming the first Somfy io local control point
1) Press the Up / Down buttons simultaneously on the Somfy
io local control point: the light will come on and then go
out.
2) Briefly press the PROG button on the Somfy io local
control point: the light will come on and then go out again
to indicate that the Somfy io local control point has been
programmed into the io Lighting Receiver.
