1. INTRODUCTION

The io Lighting Receiver is a receiver equipped with io Radio Technology. It enables control of any
type of light (incandescent / Halogen lamps, LEDs) with a 230 V supply of up to 500 W, from a
Somfy io local control point. Its small size enables it to be discretely installed near to the product it
is controlling.
io Lighting Receivers can be used as:
- individual control - one io Lighting Receiver is controlled by one control point.
- multiple control - one io Lighting Receiver is controlled by several control points (up to 9 control
points).
- group control - several io Lighting Receivers are controlled from a single control point.
How does the io Lighting Receiver work?
The io Lighting Receiver uses io-homecontrol®, the new universal and secure wireless communica-
tion protocol, shared by big manufacturers from the world of home automation.
io-homecontrol® enables all comfort and security equipment to inter-communicate and be actuated
via one single control point.
The flexibility and perfect compatibility of the io-homecontrol® system means that it keeps in step
with your changing requirements. First automate the roller shutters and front door, and then equip
external awnings, the gate and garage door or garden lighting with the io-homecontrol® system.
These scalable items of equipment are still compatible with the existing system, thanks to io-homecon-
trol® technology which ensures their inter-operability.
