5. GRINDING
5.1 Grinding
Grinding starts when the contact spring is being pressed.
Grinding stops when the portafilter is pulled away from
the spring.
6. CLEANING
A regular and accurate cleaning of the grinder avoids that the fats and oils in the coffee negatively affect the coffee
aroma.
Clean the grinding burrs and the theads very carefully. If there are coffee residues left in the thread, the grinder
cannot be adjusted properly.
Important: Always switch off the machine (power switch in position "0") and disconnect the power
cord before cleaning the grinder.

Clean the empty bean hopper inside and outside with a damp cloth.

Dry the bean hopper with a soft, clean cloth.

Also clean the grinder housing with a damp and with a dry cloth.
With the C-Manuale 54 the stainless steel spout can be
removed for cleaning. Hold the spout with the finger
from below and pull it firmly towards you.
As a result, the spout is loosened from the rails and can
be removed completely. Clean the coffee residues from
the spout and the area around the antistatic grid with a
brush.
After cleaning, carefully reassemble the spout.
To do this, push it back onto the rails in the upper area
and then snap it into the lower area.

Remove the grinding scale and with the upper burr from the body by pressing down o n the adjustment
clip and turning the scale counterclockwise.

Carry out the mounting in reverse order.
When reassembling, make sure that the grinding scale is straight and correct on the thread before
screwing it back in place.

Reconnect the power cord of the grinder.
