• Clean the ventilation slits and the surface
of the machine with a paintbrush or dry
cloth.
• Clean the oil passage (23) to ensure fault-
free, automatic oiling of the saw chain
during operation. Use a brush or a cloth
to help remove residues from the oil pas-
sage.

CAUTION! Cutting injuries! Wear cut-
resistant gloves when working with the saw
chain or with the blade bar.
Procedure
1. Switch off the tool and remove the bat-
teries (17) from the tool.
2. Place the device on a level surface.
3. Deactivate the chain brake: Pull the chain
brake lever (4) back towards the front
handle (11).
You can only refit the sprocket cover (9)
when the chain brake band has been re-
leased.
4. Turn the wing screw (7) and rotary wheel
for chain tensioner (8) ⭯ to loosen the
chain tension and remove the sprocket
cover (9).
5. Remove the sprocket cover (9).
6. Push the blade bar (5) towards the chain
sprocket (26).
You can remove the saw chain (6) and
blade bar (5).
Changing the saw chain and blade bar
Prior to changing the saw chain, the groove
of the guide rail must be cleaned of dirt be-
cause dirt deposits available can cause the
saw chain to break out of the rail. The de-

Procedure
1. Replace the blade bar (5)/ the saw chain
(6).
2. Fit the blade bar (5) and saw chain (6) as
described under Installing the saw chain
and blade bar, p. 42 beschrieben.
