Limbing work
WARNING! Risk of injury! If the saw
chain is jammed, do not try to pull the chain-
saw out by force. Switch off the engine and
use a lever arm or wedge to release the
chainsaw.
• Ensure that you are standing firmly and
securely when delimbing.
• Remove dirt, stones, loose bark, nails,
clips and wires from the tree.
• The saw chain must not touch the ground
or any object while sawing through the
material or thereafter.
• Do not saw with the rail tip.
• Please observe the precautionary meas-
ures to protect against kickback (Causes
and Operator Prevention of Kickback,
p. 35)
• If possible, support the pruning saw with
the claw stop (14) when delimbing.
• Make sure that the chainsaw can swing
through at the end of the cut due to its
own weight. The chainsaw will no longer
be supported in the cut. Counteract this
accordingly.
• Always switch off the chainsaw engine
