7.11 Lifting column servicing
In theory, the lifting column does not require servicing, but it is not exempt from wear and tear. In other
words, if there is excessive wear or you fail to exchange worn-out product components, the safety of
the product may no longer be guaranteed.
•
Work with the lifting column may only take place in accordance with these instructions. The
unit may only be opened by authorised technical staff. If there is a fault with the column,
we recommend that you contact the manufacturer or send it for repair.
•
In case of unusual noise production, the lifting column must be removed from operation
immediately.
•
If you are working on the electrical system or on electrical components, these must be
isolated from the mains first to prevent any risk of injury.
•
Independent conversions of or changes to the lifting column are not permitted on safety
grounds.
•
Safety-related devices must be checked at least once a year for completeness and
serviceability.
7.11.1 Servicing hand switches
Hand switches do not require any servicing. You may only work on hand switches in accordance with
these instructions. The actions described in the installation manual are to be observed. If there is a
fault with the unit, we recommend that you contact the manufacturer or send the unit for repair.
Independent conversions of or changes to the hand switch are not permitted on
safety grounds.
7.12 Cleaning
You can clean the hand switch and the outer surfaces with a clean, lint-free cloth.
Cleaners containing solvents attack the material and can damage it.
