Safety
5.1 Safety instructions
RK Rose+Krieger GmbH has built this lifting column to the state of the art and existing safety regula-
tions. Nonetheless, this lifting column may pose risks to persons and property if these are used incor-
rectly or not for the intended purpose or if the safety instructions are not obeyed.
Skilled operation guarantees high performance and availability of this lifting column. Faults or condi-
tions which can influence safety are to be rectified immediately.
Any person having anything to do with the installation, use, operation or maintenance of this lifting
column must have read and understood the installation instructions.
This includes
•
understanding the safety instructions in the text and
•
the configuration of the various operating and usage options and how these work.
Only nominated persons may use, install and operate this lifting column. Work on and with the lifting
column may only take place in accordance with these instructions. It is therefore essential that these
instructions are ready to hand in the vicinity of the lifting column and kept in a safe place.
General, national and operating safety regulations are to be obeyed. Responsibilities for the use,
installation and operation of this lifting column must be regulated unambiguously and obeyed, in order
that there cannot be any ill-defined authorities with regard to safety. Before any commissioning, the
user must be sure that no persons or objects are in the lifting column's danger area. The user should
only operate the lifting column in perfect condition. Any change is to be reported to the nearest line
manager immediately.
5.2 Special safety instructions

Work with the lifting column may only take place in accordance with these instructions.
•
The unit may only be opened by authorised technical staff. If there is a fault with the lifting
column, we recommend that you contact the manufacturer or send this lifting column for
repair.
•
Independent conversions of or changes to the lifting column are not permitted on safety
grounds.
•
The compressive and tensile forces and torque loading of these lifting columns as laid
down by RK Rose+Krieger GmbH must not be exceeded.
•
The maker's plate must remain legible. It must be possible to call up the data effortlessly
at any time.
•
In case of unusual noise production, the lifting column must be removed from operation
immediately.
•
The danger symbols marking danger areas on the product provide safety.
Safety-related devices must be checked at least once a year for serviceability, damage and
completeness.
