If original components of the product are
modified or removed, the safety properties may
be influenced adversely. The equipment should
not be altered, remodelled, or adjusted by use of
additional parts in any way not specifically recom-
mended by the manufacturer in writing.
Before and after use, check the product for pos-
sible damage. Ensure fitness for use and correct
function. If in doubt concerning the safe condition
of the product, remove it from use immediately.
Attention! The products must not be subjected
to damaging influences. This specifically includes
contact with caustic or aggressive substances
(e. g.: acid, lye, soldering fluid, oils, cleaning
agents), as well as extreme temperatures and
sparking. Additionally, sharp edges, moisture and
icing particularly may strongly impair the loading
strength of textile products!
ATTACHMENT POINT
To prevent the high shock loads occurring in a
pendulum fall, the attachment points for securing
must always be located vertically above the
person to be secured. The lanyard from the
attachment point to the secured person must
be kept as tightly tensioned as possible. Avoid
sagging of ropes!
The attachment point must be designed such
that attachment of a lanyard will not result in in-
fluences reducing its loading strength or causing
damage to the lanyard. Sharp edges, burrs and
pinching may substantially impair the loading
strength. Spots causing such damage may have
to be covered with suitable auxiliary materials.
The attachment point and the anchoring must be
capable of withstanding the loads occurring in
the worst conceivable case. Even when energy
absorbers (to EN 355) are employed as required
by EN 363 (fall arrest systems), the attachment
points must be designed to bear a fall energy of
at least 12 kN.

To close a TripleLock buckle hinge the frame part
over the hook. To relieve the buckle, press the
protruding metal frame into the buckle case and
simultaneously lift the buckle.
Fig. 3 Connection to the hip harness
The rescue loop is positioned on the person to be
rescued such that the 45 mm harness webbing is
located on one level with the chest and the sling
runs vertically in front of the face of the person
to be rescued.
The left and right chest harness straps meet at
the centre of the body, then connect them with
the wide TripleLock buckle and tighten them.
Adjust the straps so the person to be rescued is
held sitting upright and cannot slip from the res-
cue loop. To transport the person to be rescued,
the narrow sling may be connected to the hip
harness by means of the hand-held karabiner.
