RESCUE LOOP to EN 1498:2006
Class A
A rescue loop class A is a body positioning device
designed and made to be part of a rescue system.
During the rescue action it ensures that the per-
son to be rescued is held by the harness webbing
across the back and below the arms.
The maximum payload of the rescue loop is
150 kg.
Attention! The rescue loop is meant for rescue
situations only and must not be used for other
purposes.
Attention! The rescuer should ensure that the
person rescued is not endangered by shifting of
the belts of the rescue loop or by contact with
fastening elements, e.g. by a connector hitting
the head of the rescued person during an uninten-
tional event, such as a fall.
NOTES CONCERNING APPLICATION, SAFETY,
SERVICE LIFE, STORAGE AND MAINTENANCE
These instructions for use contain important
notes, a check-up card and an inspection proto-
col. All documents must have been understood by
the user before actual use.
The reseller must provide this document in the
language spoken in the country of use and it must
be kept together with the equipment during the
entire service life.
APPLICATION NOTES
Carefully read the following application notes and
adhere to them. This product has been provided
especially for working at a height or depth but
does not release the user from the personal risk
of the application.
Working and sports at a height or depth are
always potentially hazardous. Errors and careless-
ness can lead to serious injuries or even death.
Correct choice of equipment requires experience
and may require performing a risk assessment.
Use of the product is reserved to trained and
experienced persons or persons under super-
vision and guidance. The user should be aware
that deficient bodily or mental health may impair
safety of normal application and in emergency
situations.
In case of abuse and/or improper use, the
manufacturer refuses any liability. In such cases,
the responsibility and risk lie with the users or
persons responsible for the operation.
For application of this product in the fields of res-
cue and for use as personal protective equipment
we recommend observing the applicable national
rules. Before using the equipment, the user must
ensure that a person caught by the personal
protective equipment can be rescued promptly,
safely and effectively in case of a fall. Hanging
motionlessly in the harness may cause severe
injury and even death (suspension trauma).
Personal protective equipment is exclusively
designed for securing of persons.

SAFETY NOTES

If this product is combined with other compo-
nents, these may mutually affect safety. Use only
CE marked components of personal protective
equipment (PPE) for protection against falling
from a height.
