Note: Independent of the battery status, working without automatic levelling is
always indicated by a flashing battery low and levelling warning indicator 3.
To work with automatic levelling again, position the measuring tool in such a
manner that the bottom side is horizontally aligned and wait for the self-levelling
to take place. As soon as the measuring tool is within the self-levelling range of
±4° again, the battery low and levelling warning indicator 3 no longer flashes
(when the batteries are low, it lights up continuously; otherwise, it goes out).
In case of ground vibrations or position changes during operation, the measuring
tool is automatically levelled in again. To avoid errors, check the position of the
horizontal and vertical laser line with regard to the reference points upon re-level-
ling.

Working Advice

Always use the centre of the laser line for marking. The width of the laser
line changes with the distance.
Attaching with the Holder (see figure A)
With the holder 12, you can fasten the measuring tool to different objects rang-
ing in thickness between 10 and 60 mm, such as vertical or horizontal boards or
pipes.
Loosen the fastening screw 11 of the holder, mount the holder to the desired
location and tighten the fastening screw again.
For fastening the measuring tool to the holder 12, you can select between the
following possibilities:
– Screw the adapter plate 8 onto the 1/4" male thread 9 of the holder and screw
it on applying moderate force. Mount the measuring tool onto the adapter plate
in such a manner that the latches of the adapter plate engage in the recesses on
two sides of the measuring tool. Check the tight seating of the measuring tool.
– Place the measuring tool via the tripod mount 4 onto the 1/4" male thread 9
of the holder and screw it on applying moderate force. Do not overtighten the
measuring tool, otherwise it can become damaged.
